"Convergence" Series
The paintings in this series explore the effects of humans on natural landscapes and, conversely, the impact of natural forces on man-made surfaces.
I use the contrasting scales of satellite and macro perspectives to highlight the visual interactions between man and nature. Despite the differences in scale and subject matter, the paintings are united by the graphic aesthetics of recurring patterns and shapes.
With the convergence of man and nature, the series alludes to a continuous cycle of creation and destruction that is played out on minute to infinite scales.
